For the World Championship 2006 in Germany Adidas introduced new shirt numbers and names. For the names the typeface Bauhaus is used, horizontally squeezed to about 80%; it looks really awful.
But the numbers aren't based on Bauhaus. They are drawn with some parallel lines. As Adidas is known as the brand with the three lines this looks like a suitable solution. But, strangely enough, the numbers consist of four parallel lines. Furthermore the design is messy. I think this is a custom design. In my opinion it would have saved time and money to just use Mexcellent, a free typeface with stronger letter forms and consisting of three lines.
